I had a dream in which I am in a scenario alike the movie "A Quiet Place", where there are scary monsters with very sensitive hearing everywhere, and everyone has to stay quiet. I wander along a street, and it's not post-apocalyptic at all, it's completely normal. People are out and about. I don't know about the monsters yet, and as I approach the people, everyone starts frantically gesturing to me not to make any sounds. I don't really understand, but I don't end up making any noise regardless. I go up to my apartment above a cafe and lie down in bed. It's dark. The room is small and has two bay windows to my right. I start talking to someone, possibly on the phone, but it's not clear. I was under the impression the monsters couldn't hear me if I was indoors, which I inferred from the regular function of society outside. But then, I hear one of them in my room, and I become scared. I stay still and quiet for a while. It leaves, and I nebulously get up and travel between several other apartments, vaguely "on the run", until I have epiphany that I can't keep doing this, and I need to confront them. (This I believe to have been spurred by a distant realization of the fact that I'm having a dream, and I want it to be less stressful.) I purposefully call out, and when the monster comes to the room, I grab it, pin it to the bed, and start making out with it. It has a vaguely human face but no eyes or nose, mottled pale skin and a blue vertical stripe down the center of its face. It's making hissing noises and kissing me back very aggressively, which freaks me out, and tells me this will not work. Then I woke up.
Then I fell back asleep and had several more. I can't tell if they were connected. In one, I'm trying to recruit walter white from breaking bad into my criminal organization. In another I'm using a drone to chart trajectories of a small projectile on videos for an unknown purpose (but I do know it was illegal). In the last one, which I remember best, I was inside of a nonexistent movie where I was a teen girl with my teen girl group, and we were all on vacation with my family. We eat dinner as the sun sets and it's so beautiful, but the family is arguing and I keep getting up to look at the sunset and people keep taking my seat. There are several recurring images, although I don't remember how they recurred; one was me rising up through water toward an overwhelming blue light, and another was a guy who puts you in a pressure chamber that sucks water out of your lungs (think reverse Hap from the OA) (not for medical or lifesaving purposes). Ultimately, my girl group and I go out on a huge ice sheet which covers a lake we used to swim in. We walk out across it. We spread out a bit and a huge piece of ice I'm standing on breaks off and begins floating away. I'm terrified and I have a vision of the same thing happening to two other girls except in their case it was the entirety of the arctic ice sheet splitting apart (think Scrat from Ice Age). I vaguely black out while I desperately jump into the water and swim for the shore. As I swim I have all sorts of flashbacks and visions; snatches of conversation with my girl group, etc. Ultimately I rise up into an overwhelming blue light as I'm pulled from the lake. At this point I'm fully aware of the dream and impressed by the presence of motifs. The guy (doctor) sticks my head in the machine and a huge amount of water is pulled from my lungs painfully slowly into a plexiglass box around my head, which fills with the water. Similarly painfully slowly, the water drains from the box, and I can at last breath. I gasp an awful noise, roll over to my side, and immediately kiss the doctor on the mouth, who is for some reason lying down. I then continue to the side and kiss the doctor's wife on the mouth much more gently, who is for some reason lying next to him. This confuses me and I wake up.
