I'm in high school again. It starts with me going to a basketball game in the gym, as a requirement for a class. I end up leacing early because the teachers will get mad at me if I move to lean against the wall on the far end of the bleachers. I then fall into a familiar dream routine of wandering around, taking weird routes through the school, passing people, etc. I walk though the lower hallway, stop at the end, and imagine walking up through the upper hallway before back down through the lower hallway again, but I fear being seen twice by people. I reach the foyer, where there is now an entrance to a very long escalator going downwards. A lady blocks my way onto it for a moment, in that way where we are both trying to step out of the way of each other but are out of sync. I make a joke of flailing my limbs in mock disorientation, and she lets me pass. On the ride down I stress out about how embarrassing that joke was. At the bottom I get a phone call. It's the official basketball people. I recieve a ticket to that evening's game. I exit the doors of a large lower level reminiscent of an airport check-in area, and emerge into a huge asphalt lot that has a slight slope downward at one point before flattening out again. The school has receded to being a smaller structure atop a huge loading bay for freight trucks. The "basketball game" now seems to involve these trucks driving very fast out of the loading bay and to an unclear location for an unclear purpose. I call the basketball people to cancel my ticket. The conversation is extremely strange. I have an intense image while on the phone of the basketball person I'm talking to, which is of a person holding up a smaller non-child human in front of the face, which spoke for them, and it only obscured their face from a particular angle, but I could only see them from that angle as well. The non-child was incredible convincinig and said all the things I wouldn't admit, although I don't remember what those were. Eventaully I convince them to cancel my ticket and as I do so, two enormous freight trucks go by at top fucking speed. I am in an approximately 1-meter gap between them and that I don't die is a miracle. Before I can hang up the phone, I wake up.
